Inuvik’s
Midnight Sun Complex & Conference Centre (MSC)
is a modern multi-use facility constructed to meet the conference
organizers many needs and also offers recreational activities for
the community.
The facility is great for hosting conferences, tradeshows,
workshops, seminars, meetings, cultural events, public forums,
banquets, and other activities. The MSC is located in a quiet
and open area within walking distance of accommodations and downtown
facilities. Ample parking is available around the building. The Community Centre includes a full stage and banquet facilities to accommodate up to 325 people.
The Arena
Opened in 1997 features
an NHL Size surface, viewing area, change rooms with showers,
concession,
and seating
for 400 people.
The Curling Rink
Includes 3 sheets, concession,
viewing area and lounge. The Inuvik Curling Club operates this
modern facility.
The MSC Fitness Centre
Open 24 hours a day,
7 days a week and contains a variety of cardio equipment, including
treadmills,
elliptical
trainers, stationary bicycles, recumbent bicycle, and steppers.
The centre also contains a variety of weight training equipment,
including weight machines, free weights, and a rowing machine.
Other equipment including a boxing bag, stretching mats and other
equipment is also available.

The Arena in the MSC is used by organized
sport organizations such as Old Timer’s Hockey, Minor
Hockey, Figure Skating, Speed Skating, community groups,
and public skating. |

The Curling Rink is operated by the Inuvik
Curling Club and is home to Men’s, Women’s, Mixed,
Junior, and Commercial Leagues, as well as juniors and Bonspiels. |

The MSC Fitness Centre
offers a variety of cardio and weight training equipment
and best of all, it’s open 24 hours
a day! There are over 500 members in circulation and 250

The Recreation Department offers FREE
Public Skate and Family Skate. If you need skates that’s
not a problem, the Recreation Department has FREE rental on skates
during Public and Family Skates. If you would like to
make a private Booking please feel free to contact the recreation co-ordinator
at 777-8636.
