Inuvik is a community made up of people from a range of backgrounds. Our community celebration will bring together traditions of the Gwich'in, the Inuvialuit, as well as non-aboriginal residents as we join in celebration for the arrival of the olympic torch relay to Inuvik on November 4th, 2009. Some of our torch celebration events may include a traditional community feast; live entertainment including local musicians, drummers, and dancers; traditional game demonstrations; and a whole lot more...
