The Inuvik Torch Relay Community Task Force meets regularly to discuss and plan the community celebration and the torch relay events in Inuvik. Members of the Task Force include local representatives from the: Inuvialuit Regional Corporation, Inuvik Community Corporation, Gwich'in Tribal Council, the Town of Inuvik, a VANOC representative, the Government of the Northwest Territories including the departments of Industry, Tourism, and Investment and Municipal and Community Affairs and others.

Together, with the help of our community volunteers, we know that the Inuvik Torch Relay will be a fantastic Celebration where we will welcome the flame in true northern style.
