Fire Hydrant Operations
In order to ensure effective hydrant operations, Inuvik Fire Rescue will be conducting operational hydrant training on the following dates and times:
June 20 from 7-10 pm
Inuit – East of Firth St, Carmichael Drive, Bompas St, Breynat St Gwich’in Rd, Kingalok Place, Tuma Drive
June 27 from 7-10pm (note streets)
West end of town including but not limited too:
Dolphin St, Bonnetplum Rd, Kugmallit Rd, Raven St, Alder Drive, Ruyant Cres and Wolverine Rd
Firefighters will be assessing hydrants to determine accessibility, effective operation and flow.
While we will attempt to cause limited disruption to your day, firefighters may be accessing the rear of properties and will be dressed in clearly distinguishable fire coveralls or structural firefighter ensemble.
Please note that these operations may cause turbulence in the utilidor line which could result in discoloration of the water. Therefore we recommend that you do not do laundry during these evenings.
