Job Ad - Utilidor Technician II

Job Description 

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Have a minimum education level of Grade 12
  • Be on call and work rotating shifts during evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years or more of applicable experience in construction and/or maintenance
  • Have a working knowledge of WHMIS
  • Have a valid Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a Class 5 NT Driver’s License
  • Have, or be able to obtain a Class 3 Water/Wastewater Certificate
  • Equivalencies recognizing related education and experience may be considered

The current salary range is $ 27.87 to $38.67 per hour (approx. $57,970 to $80,434 per annum) with a Northern Allowance of $6.90 per hour (approximately $ 14,356 per annum).

Job Ad - Aquatics Supervisor

Job Description

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Be honest, trustworthy and dependable
  • Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Have at least three (3) years’ experience developing, planning, executing, and evaluating pool operations and pool related activities for all levels of swimmers
  • Have at least two (2) years’ experience in a leadership role coaching and managing employee performance
  • Possess the following current Certifications: National Lifeguard, Swim Instructor (Lifesaving Society), Life Saving Instructor/Examiner, Standard First Aid and CPR “C”, National Lifeguard Instructor, Swim Instructor Trainer (Lifesaving Society), Lifesaving Instructor Trainer, First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor and Canadian Red Cross Instructor Trainer.
  • Possess a Pool Operator's Certificate

Equivalencies recognizing related education and experience may be considered.

The current salary range is $33.02 to $43.12 per hour (approx. $68,682 to $89,690 per annum)
with a Northern Allowance of $6.90 per hour (approximately $ 14,356 per annum).

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • be honest, trustworthy and dependable
  • be understanding of the northern cultural, rural and political environment
  • have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • have at least three (3) years' experience developing, planning, executing and evaluating pool related activities for all levels of swimmers
  • possess the following Certifications:  National Lifeguard, Swim Instructor (Lifesaving Society), Life Saving Instructor, and Standard First Aid and CPR "C"

Equivalencies recognizing related education and experience may be considered.

The preferred candidate will also possess one or more of the following Certifications:  National Lifeguard Instructor, Swim Instructor Trainer (Lifesaving Society), Lifesaving Instructor Trainer, and First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor.

Successful applicants must pass an RCMP issued Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.

We are offering a salary of $29.13 per hour (approx. $60,590 per annum) with a Northern Allowance of $6.90 per hour (approxl. $14,356 per annum)

Job Ad - Lifeguard / Instructor - Casual

The Town of Inuvik is looking for qualified Lifeguards and Instructors to work varied hours as a casual at the swimming pool.    We are flexible in accommodating your availability.

If you are interested in becoming qualified to Lifeguard and Instruct at the pool, let us know.

If your qualifications have expired, contact us to see if recertification is an option for you.

Successful candidates will:

  • Be honest, trustworthy and dependable
  • Be understanding of the northern cultural, rural and political environment
  • Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Possess the following current Certifications: NLS, Swim Instructor, Life Saving Instructor, and Standard First Aid and CPR “C”
