Arctic Trees

Each spring, the Town plans a series of initiatives and programs to encourage residents and businesses in the community to landscape and beautify their homes, businesses and neighbourhoods. The 2021 Spring Beautification will run from May 22 to June 5, see more details and posters below: :

How does it work?

The Town of Inuvik will provide non-profit groups/organizations with an opportunity to raise funds in exchange for cleaning a selected “ZONE” from the map. Upon successful cleaning of your zone and withinspected approval, garbage bags and gloves will be provided to all participants.

Registration

Registration is open from May 14 to May 21, 2021. 

Groups may register for a second zone after May 21, 2021.

How much is each zone worth?

Zones: 10, 11, 12                                     $ 300.00 each

Zones: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9                           $ 400.00 each

Zones: 4, 5, 13                                          $ 500.00 each

Water Rebate Program

As part of the Community Beautification Initiative, you can take part in the Water Rebate Program by completing and returning the Application Form to the Town Office.

Community Beautification Contest

The Town of Inuvik invites you to participate in the Community Beautification Program.  Residents and businesses are encouraged to landscape and beautify their homes, businesses, and neighbourhoods during the summer season.

Who may enter?

Residents, businesses, or community organizations

within the municipal limits of Inuvik are eligible.

How do I enter?

Pick up an entry form from the Municipal Town Office at 2 Firth Street, from the Centennial Public Library or from the Front Desk at the Midnight Sun Complex.  

Drop off your completed entry form to the Municipal Town Office, to the Centennial Public Library, or to the Front Desk at the Midnight Sun Complex.  Entries may also be emailed to LSaumur@inuvik.ca.   

Entry Deadline: 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021.

When does judging take place?

Judging of all entries will be done on Friday, August  6, 2021.
