Planning and Development
In accordance with the direction provided by Council, the Planning and Development Department is responsible for community planning, land use development and building construction. The department makes decisions on applications received related to moving of a structure, building demolition, signs, subdivision, and development of land in accordance with the Town of Inuvik Community Plan, Zoning By-law Plan and other master plans.
Other responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and realization of long range land use plans, design guidelines, recreational plans and the provision of information on land related subjects, government legislation and mapping.

Ruyant Park Development
The Town of Inuvik Public Works Department is looking at future development of Ruyant Park by re-levelling the soccer field area, as well as possibly adding new trails and picnic areas.
