Notice from the Utilities Department

We would like to thank the community in working with us to address outstanding utility balances, it is appreciated.

As we begin preparing for the new year, please note that any outstanding balances on utilities accounts will be transferred to Property Taxes on December 31, 2025, as per Town of Inuvik By-Law #2657/UTIL/20:

•8.13 – Any charges levied for the use of a sewer system or water supply that have not been paid by the end of the fiscal year may become a charge against the property being serviced, and collectible against the owner thereof in the same manner as taxes levied by the Town.

Please arrange to pay any outstanding balance before the end of the year to avoid transfer to property taxes. To discuss payment options/plan contact the Utilities Officer.
