You're Invited: Public Hearing – Proposed Street Name Changes

Location: Inuvik Town Council Chambers, 2 Firth Street

The Town of Inuvik is holding a Public Hearing to gather community feedback on proposed street name changes.

Proposed Changes

Rename the portion of Bompas Street (between Centennial Street and Stringer Road) to Ptarmigan Way

Consolidate Carmichael Drive East and Carmichael Drive West into a single street name: Carmichael Drive, including updates to civic addresses in accordance with the Town's Civic Address Standard Policy (FP.009).

Attend & Share Your Feedback

Residents, property owners, and all interested community members are encouraged to attend and share their comments during the Public Hearing.

Property owners affected by civic address changes will be contacted directly regarding implementation.

Can't Attend?

Written submissions will be accepted until12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, August 10, 2026, for inclusion in the public record.
