MEDIA RELEASEOn behalf of the Town Council, staff and residents of Inuvik, we extend our deepest condolences to the victims and their families of the Quebec City tragedy.
To the Muslim residents of our community and Canada, we stand with you in denouncing this senseless act of violence. We appreciate your contribution to the community and people - regardless of race or religion - will always be welcome in our community.

Public NoticeTown Council will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Midnight Sun Complex Community Hall to seek input on the request from Frosty’s Arctic Pub (Mad Trapper Bar) to allow Class A (Liquor Primary) establishments within the community of Inuvik to be open on Sundays from April 1 – September 30 each year.

2016 Holiday HoursThe Town Office will close on Friday, December 23 at 5:00 p.m. for the holiday season. Our regular hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. For your convenience, we have a payment drop-off box located outside our door, #2 Firth Street.  We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season! -Mayor Jim McDonald, Town Council & Staff

2016 Christmas Light-up & Decorating ContestThe Town of Inuvik’s annual Christmas Light-up and Decorating Contest has begun.  There are only a couple of weeks to set up your entry!  Judging is scheduled for the evening of Sunday, December 11th. 
Only exterior Christmas lighting/decorating displays and exhibits are eligible.
Cash prizes will be awarded (1st - $300.00, 2nd - $200.00, 3rd - $100.00)

2016 Christmas ParadeCalling all commercial businesses, community residents and non-profit groups! 
Come and join in this year’s Christmas Parade taking place at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 11! Participants are asked to please gather at Ingamo Hall before 12:45 p.m.  
Prizes for commercial and non-commercial categories will be awarded at the MSC Community Hall after the parade!
