Does your TV show, film or documentary need the perfect Arctic backdrop?

Inuvik is located in the beautiful Mackenzie Delta, with views of the Richardson Mountains in the horizon. Situated in an ideal location that allows for both comfortable accommodations and necessary amenities, Inuvik can also provide visitors with the required means of travel to other local communities, such as Tuktoyaktuk on the Arctic Ocean.

The town is vibrant and full of colour and local culture is ever-present. We are happy to work with local and visiting film makers and photographers. If you are interested in filming in Inuvik, the Tourism & Economic Development Department can provide assistance with questions and applications requests. For more information, please refer to:

Town of Inuvik Filming & Photography Policy

For additional information, you may also visit the NWT Film Commission website.

It is also important to check with local indigenous groups if filming in the area is acceptable. This can be done by contacting the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation and the Gwich'in Tribal Council.
