The Aurora Research Institute in Inuvik is one of three research offices that Aurora College operates in the Northwest Territories. Researchers from all over the world utilize this top-of-the-line academic space to improve the lives of NWT residents by through scientific, technological and indigenous knowledge in order to solve northern problems.

Tours of Inuvik’s Western Arctic Research Centre take place throughout the Summer every Wednesday.
The Aurora Research Institute also hosts a Summer Speaker Series, where residents and visitors can learn about research projects that are currently taking place in the area.
