Inside the Roy "Sugloo" Ipana arena.

The Roy "Sugloo" Ipana Arena is located in the Midnight Sun Complex. Opened in 1997, it features an NHL-size ice surface, a digital scoreboard and four change rooms with showers. With seating for 400 people plus an upper viewing area, a large concession and skate sharpening services, it is perfect for hosting tournaments and events.

The arena is home to Inuvik's minor hockey, figure skating and speed skating clubs and times are also available for other groups. An arena scheduling meeting is held each September. Clubs interested in participating should contact the MSC at 867-777-8640 and ask for the Recreation Coordinator.

In the summer, the ice is removed and the arena becomes a tradeshow, workshop and event venue, hosting everything from conferences and the Great Northern Arts Festival to ball hockey tournaments and summer camp activities.
