Culture Connections Workshop Photo

During the Summer months the Town of Inuvik hosts a variety of events for both our Residents and Visitors. Take a look below to see what is happening this Summer and how you can get involved.

Due to recent events, our scheduled Summer activities will continue to take place, however, we will be following the GNWT Emerging Wisely protocols and restrictions will be in place so that our programs are safe for both our staff and residents.

$10 per person (cash only, on site)

Fall Fair 

The annual Inuvik Fall Fair is the last outdoor community event of the Summer and is the last Arctic Market for the season. This event is a full day of family-friendly activities and hosts food, crafts, artisan, & community vendors as well as live music and performances.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR 2021 

  • The Fall Fair will be held outdoors in the Special Events Pavilion, so dress accordingly
  • Continue to be mindful of your risk in public spaces and attending community gatherings. If you choose to attend the Fall Fair please:
    • Consider being fully vaccinated before attending any community event or gathering
    • Practice healthy hand hygiene by washing your hands often and using hand sanitizer
    • Wear a mask and maintain physical distancing where possible  

 

FALL FAIR SCHEDULE 

 

The Fall Fair Schedule of Events is here, with the Arctic Market and Community Organization Showcase running from 11am to 2pm. Starting at 3pm the Best Bannock and Berry Best Baker Competitions begin, where you can try a sample of Inuvik's bannock and berry bakes and have your say on the best. Donations are $5 and $10 to take part in the competition tasting and all proceeds will go to the Inuvik Food Bank. 

The Mackenzie Delta Sound Stage will take place all day with a selection of musicians with our MC Barry Greenland supported by Howie Macleod as the sound tech.
